Keeping Love Alive in the New Normal

The Eagles were definitely on to something when they sang about love keeping us alive because, in the face of the widespread fear and confusion brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, we need love more than ever. Unfortunately, indefinite isolation is leaving nerves frayed and stresses skyrocketing, which, in turn, leads to tensions in relationships. In fact, the internet is already predicting (increasingly less jokingly) that many couples will be consciously uncoupling throughout this new normal.

But the fact is, you and your partner do not have to be a statistic. With the right mindset and a few lifestyle tweaks, your relationship can come out of this unscathed. The key is to keep each other supported—and yes, loved—throughout this ordeal, while also taking great pains to take care of oneself. We’ve put together some great resources to help you do just that.

Indeed, it’s been said that love is all you need, and yes, that’s from The Beatles. But apart from love, you also need care, good health, and mutual support to survive this quarantine (or any other challenge, for that matter). So keep the love and romance alive and prove that sometimes, numbers do lie.
