A Virtual Read Aloud

In honor of Tacoma Pride on July 11th, we highlighted members of the Pride community. We reached out to some incredible authors and artists that have created books celebrating all types of families and genders. Representation matters! We created a virtual read aloud to share their stories with you.

Social Skills Group

Beginning in September (dates to be announced soon), ITS is offering a Social Skills Group for children and adolescents ages 8-11. Social skills groups are small groups led by the facilitators who teach kids how to appropriately interact with peers. They can help kids learn conversational, problem-solving, and friendship skills. They can also be helpful in teaching kids to regulate their emotions, advocate for self, and understand other’s perspectives.
