Cycle Breakers – Group Therapy for Asian American Moms
Starting March 2025
We are excited to share an empowering group therapy program specifically designed for Asian American mothers navigating the unique challenges of motherhood and mental health. This group focuses on providing a safe space to explore cultural experiences while also offering practical tools and support for emotional well-being during the perinatal period.
This group will meet in person on Fridays from 11-12:30pm
There are 7 sessions total
Babies up to 18 months are welcome to join!

Cultural Values and Beliefs on Motherhood
Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs)
Self-Compassion and Mindfulness
Family Roles and Boundary Setting
Coping with Perfectionism and Imposter Syndrome
Actual Self-Care and Building a Support Network
A Mother is Born – Building Insight into Your New Identity
This group therapy program is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences, gain insights into your mental and emotional health, and receive practical strategies to nurture yourself and your family. Kathy Augsback, MA, LMFT
Kathy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and specializes in Perinatal Mental Health. She has a special interest in, and is dedicated to, fostering well-being within the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. Drawing from her own heritage, she is committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental healthcare. With a passion for dismantling toxic cycles, she brings understanding and support to empower individuals and families in their mental health journey
